Suzanne Collins, an American novelist, is back again with another “Hunger Games prequel”. It will take us decades before the original “Hunger Games” book. The writer announced on June 6, 2024, that Suzanne Collins’ book “Sunrise at the Reaping” (a novel) would be published on March 18, 2025. The official book cover has not been released yet.
Collins also briefs about the storyline on her official website, saying that “it’s been 49 years since the first Hunger Games began in Panem. 24 youngsters from 12 regions have been fighting to stay alive for nearly 50 years. How do you commemorate such a death-drenched occasion?” And hopes for another bestseller this book to be.
This is a win-win situation for the both Hunger Games and Jennifer Lawrence fans because this book will also be adapted into a film under ‘Lionsgate Production’. Lionsgate is the production house that has adapted all other Hunger Games novels into movies. It will be released on November 20, 2026.
Apart from this novel, Suzzane Collins has written another wonder book. Some of them are The Underland Chronicles, and children’s television shows. She uses the fiction, science fiction, and fantasy genres. Her collection includes several Nickelodeon shows: Clarissa Explains It All, The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo. She also wrote stories for preschoolers, i.e., Little Bear and Oswald.
This particular novel is quite popular among the young generation. It contains the gripping plots of the story with Greek and Roman mythological games in reality. However, it was also criticized by parents by saying that it promotes violence and is not appropriate for this age (i.e., young-adult) group.
